How many more production years does the Sonic have?

Maybe GM will roll out a Subcompact CUV! after 2019 and put the Sonic badge on it (??).

I am curious if the Sonic's last year in the U.S. is 2019, what about the rest of the world? Is there enough of a demand for the Sonic/Aveo to keep production at the South Korean plant after 2019? Hmmm...

GM has and it's called the Chevrolet Trax. It is on the same platform as the Sonic and. . . .

Plus. . the Sonic in Canada and it's future here, etc. .. all in earlier post. Gotta keep up . . LOL.

If you closely compare dimensions, the Sonic and Trax are very close. Tenths of an inch in most cases and in several dimensions, the Sonic has more room. Including Cargo space with the rear seat up.

I know, I know...

It's just that there's a rumor that the Spark might be replaced in the 2020's with a subcompact CUV and I was hoping maybe the Sonic name will live on.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Spark and sonic get merged into one, with whatever car is next splitting the difference. The Spark (and it’s Opel/Vauxhall twins) was really designed to take hold in Europe. GM doesn’t sell in Europe anymore.

I live in Rochester.NY which is the largest Chevrolet Dealer in the US. So I could get the 20% off, they located and traded so i could get exactly what I wanted. 2017 Nightfall Grey , sun and fun package which included the turbo and a sun roof, auto. transmission. The Sonic is my second car which replaces my Camaro 2017 50th Anniversary Package in the winter. We have bad winters here and I was surprised that I didn't slip and slide nor did I get stuck. I love the Sonic. It is a fun car to drive.
