Custom fitted internal gauge pods? ('17+)

So I know a fellow machinist with a 3D printer who likes to make random small stuff for cars etc.
I was also looking in my car trying to figure out where the heck I'm gonna mount these two gauges. After browsing ebay and whatnot I've yet to find something I am completely satisfied with.....

Solution? I was looking at my dash and gauges today and there is a nice perfect little line that runs around the gauges. I'm wondering if anyone else would be interested in this possible venture? The pods would stick perfectly just above the steering wheel to be easily visible, but still below the windshield to be unobstructed.
I'll try to draw what I mean...
Could be one solid piece that wraps all the way around, (likely the cleanest option) or 2 single pods that could taper some what to blend better than just a chunky piece.

With 3D printing it may even be possible to match the textured dash paneling

What do you guys think?

What kind? I have a couple on the way but likely won't use them all (If any) they were cheap so I ordered a few to experiment with.

Well, that's a good question. I really wish we had one that could attach to or a replace an existing plastic piece on the dash or gauge cluster area. Ultimately trying to avoid drilling or an irreversible modification.

But, I plan on getting a 3D printer since they’ve gotten much cheaper over the years. Any chance I could get a CAD file to tweak the design to my liking?

I may have found some cheaper alternatives....at the least as a temporary solution. I'll post pictures when I am finished.

Okay so these things came way earlier than I was expecting!
I will need to put a slight notch above the slot on the back so the nipple for the boost hose clears. The mount is kinda crappy so I'm going to mill one out of some billet aluminum I have laying around. Won't happen for probably another week though as I have alot of work on the go.

Snot Rocket, would it be easier to to print just a swivel mount?

Pretty much like it's on now. I'm gonna build my own. When I'm done and satisfied I'll send you the dimensions to make your life easier.

I just figured it would be easier for you if a person could just order these pods and use a base instead of you having to model the entire thing.

Picked up the final 2 peices. Got the materials at princess auto (Canada) not sure what the American equivalent would be.
Rubber grommets to clean up the inevitable drilled holes, and a nice mesh hose to wrap everything up in.
