For my automatic LTZ, it used to do 10.5 seconds 0-60 stock.
(I know the manual RS does less than 8 seconds due to a much higher final drive ratio.)
Since I installed Trifecta it went down to 8.5 seconds 0-60.
So it does work. But my complaints are:
1) No matter what upgrades I seem to do it (air intake, exhaust system, intercooler, intake manifold) I don't seem to get past 8.5 seconds. So I don't know whether is due to poor retuning (I always get it retuned whenever I put something new on it) or the car itself is not gaining anything at all, as if the stock parts are just as good.
2) The first time you ask for Trifecta tune, is very quick. After that, when you ask for a retune for a new part, it takes weeks for them to respond.
Thanks for the feedback but thats not entirely accurate.
1) You're right, it's that your car isn't actually gaining much. By far the best mod is the tuning. E.g. catless downpipes on a turbo car dont always deliver gains that people expect, especially on this engine because all of the back pressure is in front of the turbo's turbine, not behind it. Air intake systems maybe add a couple horsepower at best depending on if / how much vacuum your stock intake is under (and virtually none of the aftermarket ones actually draw in cold air).
2) We've been pretty attentive. You submitted a log review and revision request for the RacerX manifold, which we replied to right away, and then only a day later, you had the review of the log complete and the update for the manifold waiting to be downloaded. You installed it and then submitted another log, which was more of a checkup. We did take a little longer to respond on that one but there were no changes needed after the initial revision and proved to show you were moving a good amount of air and made some gains.
So, I'd say that making a blanket statement about communication with us always taking weeks like you did is unfair at best. As well as your comment about not getting tune revisions that "do anything". This platform is built for economy. GM designed it that way. Everything about it revolves around that concept. So, extracting power out of it is like pulling teeth, and tuning is where 90% of those gains will come from. Hardware mods just don't deliver on this engine as they do on others (unless you huge turbo or something)
