So I've had my Sonic for a while now, pretty much since if posted this. I love the super light steering. The color still growing on me. The transmission really grabs when you slow down past 35mph, sometimes slows down likes breaks almost do...so getting used to that. It does get looks though, maybe a sausage like me getting out of it, or the color...who knows. I did actually hit 40.6mpg at one point, I think it was around 51mph. Other than hitting the deer and front clip replaced.... Great in turns. I kept having to look and didn't realize how tinted the windows were. I guess next post will be winter... Christ

Nice man, have fun with that! My automatic seems to be averaging 33.6mpg on the 1.2hr commute, half hwy half stop and go. I did actually hit 40.6mpg, was doing around 42mph for like 5 minutes.
Traction control on, it did seem to understeer when pushed a bit on the stock tires. I hope these freakin' things are good in snow. Is the manual mode good for snow? I used the manual mode a few times, but it just feels like it's something that shouldn't be used, the tranny is all like "WTF" and it jolts and bucks a bit. I know how to shift it, it isn't just me. Not the smoothest trans in the Chevy bin.
Bought a standalone heads up display from Pyle PHUD15. Haven't tried it yet. I'll post on it if anyone cares. Was $55

Whole front clip and reinforcement piece replaced. Was a small deer (yes it lived.) $500 deduct and was $1400 total. Took it to a Chevy dealer, drove a 2015 Malibu and still prefer my car. I was just out for a joy ride too, didn't even have to be there. So I'm coming back down the hill after the u turn and the deer is looking at me, it was sitting on all fours. It wouldn't take its eyes off the car. Damn!

Man I feel your pain....i hit a coyote llaast winter with mine with a similar result. 500 deductible for a 1200 overall repair bill.

So the heads up display was really cool, it read the mph just off by 1 to 2 mph, the rpm was close too but hard to compare cause I'm trying to see the HUD and the dash at the same time.
I'll use it more in the winter on the dark commute home. So here's the BAD....in daylight, no go for our windshields so far as I can tell. I did move it around and different angles. There is a separate film they provide to attach but I don't want to see that. So for me, cool nocturnal toy for sure, worth the $50.
Just sacrifice one Saturday without the case of IPA for some Natty Ice beer cause this HUD will last a lot longer and you'll have more fun in the long run and won't miss that IPA..right?
