Welcome! Congrats on the new ride!
The electric "BOV" (actually a BPV) is incorrect; that only applies to the LE2 engine in the 2016 redesigned Cruze (have verified this with members here and Trifecta). So, any BOV/BPV for the Sonic will work.
As far as mods, a tune (Trifecta, BNR, HP Tuners, etc.) is a good start. I also suggest upgrading the WGA (the stock ones tend to not hold up under pressure) and BPV (which you already mentioned) to help hold the extra boost. CAI and exhaust will help squeeze a little more HP out. There are a fair amount of bolt on options, so I suggest reading through some of the build threads here and talking with a tuner. You will want to consider upgrading the intercooler, and porting the intake and doing the PCV fix (ZZP offers one with these modifications done already). Beyond that, there are a couple of "easy" turbo swap options (ZZP, BNR, and Vermont all have options, I believe), at which point you'll also need to upgrade your fuel injectors and coils. If your Sonic is a manual trans, you will likely need to upgrade the clutch and shifter bushings/cable clamp. If you have an auto trans, keep in mind that just the tune will push you past the specs for what the trans will handle.
Hope this helps!
