Never tried Infrared, I think I may have to now.
Its pretty fun actually... I never tried it until digital since I never really had access to the IR film back in the day. The only complication is that while most digital cameras these days are relatively on par with photography of visible light spectrum they are not all the same when it comes to IR photography. What is good for visible light photography (cut IR filters on sensor) is normally counter-productive for IR which is trying to capture the IR spectrum. A little research is required before getting started. Some more serious folks, go as far as to modify the camera by removing IR Cut filter on sensor. Can be a bit expensive and there are disadvantages.
In my case, I have two nearly identical cameras with one a generation newer than the other. The older one had a serious problem with being too sensitive to IR. The newer version corrected it. As such the older camera is far better for IR photography... turned a "defect" into an advantage.
