Official: What are your real world MPG Numbers

I took a 320 mile road trip in the car today to Omaha and back (1LT w/1.4t M6). It POURED rain the whole way there/back. Avg speed was 57.x mph and avg MPG was reported as 36.9. It was creeping higher and higher, so I'm thinking 37.x.
I also had 4 disk shelves in the car with me, and those are 70lbs each.
With no weight and using economy techniques I'm sure a 40 is in my cards. Especially after the engine loosens up a bit.
I will say that at lower highway speeds, I sometimes find myself flipping between 5th and 6th. I need to throw my laptop on the car and monitor fuel consumption to figure out which is better.

The rain + weight certainly was a big factor!
I took at 148 round trip to Kansas City today with avg speed of 67.x MPH. 41.5MPG avg.

Now, that is what I am looking for. From what I can tell there is no instant mpg readout. Using a Scangauge will give me the edge I need to squeeze the fuel through it.

1400 miles so far.
1.4 w/ 6 speed manual. 100 miles a day, 30 country rest highway.
Sissy footing (mostly) and neutral has yielded me 43mpg combined on the last 2 tanks.

Oh, I should mention a couple of factors. Most of our mileage is hwy, but the speedlimit here is 75, and my wife works 4000ft higher than where we live. Ever climb a 6% in a Sonic for a couple thousand feet? She's definitely WORKING!

I'm sure people are tired of hearing my reports, but I took the Sonic from Topeka -> Des Moines this weekend. With only the wife and our weekend luggage we got 38.9MPG avg with an avg speed of 72.x.
On the way back we had an additional 2 cases of wine, a 17lb turkey and other stuff and only got 36.3 with avg speed of 73.x.
Once again I'm not doing anything but setting the cruise and driving. Also I'm just putting in whatever 87 octane I see available. There is definetly a break point @ 70mph and a certain weight where you start to dip below 37-38 in my car. Being out here, elevation is pretty flat.
I'll be driving the car to San Francisco in a week, we'll see what she does up the mountains

I love seeing these reports. I'm coming from ~17 mpg, so it's great to see numbers in the high 30's. The Sonic is looking more and more like a good choice for me
Have you gotten a feel of calculated vs the dashboard readout accuracy?
