I finally got someone to paint them. It was some guy in Tempe, Arizona and he did it for $60 and it only took about an hour. They look so good now!

And he most likely will be able to do the fronts. His entire garage is dedicated to spray painting car stuff haha.

I've found a "bling" cover (or 'clover' as they call them) for the sedan. I saw these in a pic from some car show, but they were painted black chrome or tinted. It's not a bad price given it's free shipping from South Korea. And given the great paints and 'dips' available, these could be easily customized.

does this block out the side marker or can you see it when the lights are on at night? helps with reflective and visibility from the side.

Im having mine painted gloss black soon but im having a chevy bow tie cut out over the side marker so its "legal"

Yes, the side of the tail lights are visible at night when the tail lights are on.

Something to think about when you do this mod, scratch that something you should do before you begin. Go buy brighter bulbs to replace the stock ones, any coating you put over the lens will dim the light so buy brighter ones to compensate.

Yes, the side of the tail lights are visible at night when the tail lights are on.

Could you post some pictures of your tail lights working at night. I'm very interested in this, but I was wondering if you could show us the look while the lights are on? opcorn:

Paint texture looks rough, did he use bulldog ?

Here's a pic of them at night. The light is a little visible on the sides, but it still looks cool.

I thought it would be rough too. However, I just softly wiped them down with a wet rag a few hours after it dried. By the next day it has the same smooth feel as the normal lights. I didn't watch him, so I don't know if he used bulldog or not.
