Anyone else plan on using the HP software to tune their car? I have a friend who tunes front drive boosted Monte Carlos and Pontiac's that's going to help walk me through it.

i would love a LSedit type software program i could tinker with. i could change anything, and track it with a wideband, change it on a whim, have different programs for different fuels, do basically whatever you want

It's not awful, really, but it'd be a ton if you were tuning just one vehicle.

It's not that bad. I'm not buying the software though. He already has it, so I just have to buy the credits.

Yep.... I'm a jack of all trades EXCEPT car tuning. Leave that to the people who actually know what they are doing.

I've been studying the stock 2012 sonic tune from HPtuners until my car comes.

DOes HPT support the 1.8L yet?

i know it works for the 1.4 but not sure about the 1.8

E78 is the ECU for the 1.4; E83 is the 1.8.
