That was my plan until I found out that my 2013 came with a full size spare and jack.

with 13 coming with steel wheels may as well grab a "fullsize"
i have 4-15" spare tires+wheels.

My Sonic came with the inflator kit and no spare. I searched eBay for a few weeks and found the jack set for $50 and spare tire for $75 (both with free delivery). Both were from the same wrecked Sonic from a salvage yard in brand new condition. The jack set went in perfectly and so did the spare. The same round tie down nut appears to work to hold down the inflator kit as the spare. So those of you looking for the jack and spare to replace your inflators they fit perfectly without any modifications. Just keep looking on eBay, Craig's List or call your local salvage yard.

2012 1.4t LT and I have a spare. And I'm happy with that, I like having a backup that WILL work. I HATE fix-a-flat, in the 2+ years I was a tech I can't even count with one hand how many times that stuff worked. I don't have enough fingers and toes to count how many times it didn't work and then its a mess to change a tire :/ just my expierence in the matter. Spare=done deal, fix-a-flat=it might work

I have a spare. I think that is dumb of chevy not to have a spare in all of them just because if you have a blow out the inflator isnt going to do you any good if a big hole is in the tire.At least if you have dounut you can change and get to safety.

Sad part is its not just Chevy, I looked at ford, Toyota and Honda also and they all had models without a spare also.

The price that dealers are charging for new cars just blows my mind that not all cars have spares.What are they thinking or not thinking

They save we loss
I understand all the $ that they are saving but i dont think that the savings are being passed on to the buyers. So people that didnt get a spare payed $40 less for their car I dout it

Thats good to no they paid less i would rather have the spare my self but did the buyers know thats why they paid alittle less i am sure the dealer didnt say all by the way you dont have a spare tire.But the other car does have a spare for $40 more.I would guess most would get the car with the spare.Maybe i am wrong i have been wrong before and it wont be the last time. If you are in the woods and your wife cant hear you are you still wrong?
