The past month has been frustrating to say the least. After 10,000 miles of flawless driving, my car has been in the shop non-stop for roughly a month.
Took it in for an oil change, when I pick it up, I notice a significant noise from the right front tire. Later in the week, I bring it back in, turns out that the bearing is going out. The whole hub needs to be replaced.
After getting it in the following week for the actual hub replacement, I drive off the lot and hear a loud clanking noise whenever I turn at a slow speed. I bring it back in later that week, they suspect the CV joint needs replaced.
After replacing the CV joints, the noise is till present. At this point (Two weeks ago tomorrow) The dealership has to keep the car and they get GM Service involved because they aren't sure what it is. Finally, on Tuesday I get a call. They've narrowed it to the transmission, and it needs replaced.
After ordering the transmission, they get it, and in the process of installing it, they left my hood up while they were raising it on the lift, and they damage the hood. Now my car needs body work. That was Tuesday, and they still have my car, it will be two weeks tomorrow.
Needless to say I'm incredibly frustrated, I've been driving a loaner car for two weeks. I'm seriously concerned that my car has needed so much work, and it only has about 11,000 miles on it. Is there anything I can do?
This is my first new car I've ever owned. I'm definitely not impressed. Thanks for reading my rant.
Edit: In case it matters, I have a 2012 6 speed sonic LTZ.
