Hello everyone. First engine post I’ve made. Have a 13 Sonic 1.8L 173,000 kms on it, and as it’s slowly getting warmer here in the great white north I’ve noticed a couple things. #1 after it gets up to temp it idles down to like 650 rpm’s and the whole car vibrates, the mirror on the drivers...

So I replaced the lobe… don’t think I have it clocked right…. Probably have to redo it as now it’s getting warmer and I still have full heat but it won’t go all the way to the cold side. The sonic repair manual is lacking also, it doesn’t even show how to replace the lobe. And now the temp door...

like drivers mirror shakes like a have a high powered stereo

it vibrates really bad.... so gonna do some searching on this forum

Hello All Has anyone put on a big tipped exhaust? Like I'm talking fast and the furious Honda Civic style. Or does everyone just do a catback? I've got a 1.8L Auto so just looking to add some noise while I acquire lift parts.

I turned it by hand and it moved freely but the temp control cable was busted and lying down by the glove box… they cut the ear lobe piece and left the teeth part of it with a zip keeping it stuck on hot… so I replaced the cable now want to put it back together properly… so I’m guessing I need...

Hi Everybody SO I bought another little sonice with 171k kms on it. Looked nice but as I drove it home 8 hours I noticed the temperature would not change. So I ordered a cable... diassembled the trim pieces and removed the glove box and I noticed there is cable is just hanging there. No lobe...
