Man, Tmo as my witness, on my first pre-stage wind up, I got a smooth rolling roast. But the rest of the evening I got a spin/hop hybrid. The good first spin felt magnificent. But I guess once the tires got sticky the hop came back, but not nearly as bad as before alignment and LCA poly.

I'm no expert, but should you really be doing burnouts with street tires?

fastest run was a 16.1 @ 83mph.

I have a check engine light after my exhaust, and the quicker spool was roasting the tires on launch.

My fastest 60ft was 2.39 SUCK!!!

I pulled the ABS fuse and picked up 3mph. (16.1 @ 86mph) but I spun even more (60ft 2.44).

Haha so the next step is TUNE, and TIRES

Oh, and launching is definitely best when slipping madly. Even though it felt like I was slipping too much, the time slip doesn't lie. 3k dumps FTW.

So how bad are you riding the clutch? My next track day I'll be trying a few different things. I want to see what 2.5k riding the clutch and only half throttle get me for 60' then I'll be trying to get full throttle but pulling back a bit with wheel hop. I tried 3k but I just got hop and spin nobluck with my stock tires

Hardly rode the clutch at all. Rode the wheel spin instead as a more effective way to spool up IMO.

Very true. I'm just so afraid of breaking something ... And river rat you are right. Not supposed to spin street tires.... Or air them down. But people do it all the time.

At most you spin for a second to get dirt off your tires

Not supposed to does not mean it doesn't work. As I mentioned before tmo got a great 60' on my wheels and tires with a very aggressive launch. Lots of hop and a sub 2.3 (or very low) sec 60'

I imagine shifting the RS is much like shifting the MZ0...... Tricky, especially the first shift like 20' from the hole.

I'm faster than Vince on the leader board because he only measures in hundredths, and we tied there, and I was already there so I'm "in the lead." If you measure by thousandths, he's faster.

So you got one trip to the track out of it before it "broke"?

The time is nice and so is the MPH so don't get me wrong but I'm not impressed. If you've made consecutive trips to the track then I'm impressed.

One trip with a tweaked waste gate is just meh if that's the case. I could install I big shot and go make a record breaking pass at the expense of the engine.

Good job though, 97MPH is haulin it.

I'm not happy with it but I need to get a revised tune back from Vince and launch properly on a track. I also weigh 400lbs.

I know there are an assortment of quarter mile threads but I want to dedicate a thread for everyone to post their ET's and related advice.

Rules:

The best time is the fastest time. Regardless of how you got it as long as it was with a Sonic.

For the top 5 spots:
Time slips shall be verified by posting a pic of your car showing a track number matching your time slip, or by posting a video of the run that includes the time shown on the slip.

In the event of a tie, the participant to get that time first will be given the better standing.

As the times are posted, I'll continue to edit Post #1 with the Rankings.
