I have done some posts here on the superchips scr 8040 I have a 2014 rs auto. first off any of u guys that are trying to run a stick, PARK IT!!! there is no waY YOU ARE BEATING AN AUTOMATIC. its just not going to happen, unless you pull hard enough on the stick to rip it out of the floor. lol. we race ours every weekend at island dragwaY IN NJ. the car is BONE stock, and I mean from the dealer stock, with an scr 8040 set on perf level 2 which runs 93+ octane. I race it in pro, my 14 yr old runs it in jr street, so far on a 65 degree day car ran 15.30 @ 90.17. we stage the car, hold it at 2000 till the first amber comes on then mat it and the boost will hit about 4 psi and let go of the brake on the last amber. reaction times range from .068 to .025 and the thing leaves like a bullet. 1/8 mile time is 9.86 @ 72mph. we now put on a borla cat back exhaust and we are testing it fri night at a test and tune. we are trying to get in 14s. next week we are doing trifecta tune to see how much better it will get because with the trifecta we can use an aftermarket intake too, cant use one with the superchips 8040, it will screw up the afr.

you are standing on your balls with that exhaust, plan on goin real slow. way to much pipe, and nothing to pump through it lol

The exhaust won't slow them down, just won't help much. 15.30 is a pretty good time. Like I said I do it for fun during test and tune once in a while. It's my dd and 15.8 is ok for me, especially using stick. I'd love to see stock with sc vs stock with trifecta. Post up your results. Also are u sure about the intake with sc? You don't have any adjustments for afr? I know with my Diablo sport I can adjust afr.

I have talked tothe tech guys at sc and they said unfortunately there isno way for them to modify the settings and the slightest increase in intake flow will screw with the afr more than their system can compensate for. Right now if you do the math. 15.30 and a combined weight of 3010 me in the car its making right around 165 hp. I say ineed another 10to 12hp to get into 14s range. We put the borla system on yesterday and it definately pullsmuch harder above 4500 so tomorrow night imgoi g to run over to the track and just make 1 pass to see if it is better. Its going to be cold, about 40 degrees so itmay not be better. I know this turbo motor doesnt like real cold and real hot. Last week it was 82 and car slowed .4 tenths. Im not having good luck dealing with trifecta. They seem sceptical about wether or not there tune will make the extra power.

The engine tends to like cold weather, but your tires may not. It's silly they can't adjust your afr, that may be why your car doesn't like the cold.
Have u considered a down pipe? That's a huge exhaust restriction u could pick up a lot of time with that Id bet. It will allow your turbo to spool up faster.
Everyone that posts with a trifecta tune says they make a ton of power. I guess they are one of the better options if u have a lot of mods. I think u are one of the few with the scr soo it's hard to say for sure from stock who will be faster. If I had to guess I'd say stock cars with different tunes are going to be about the same. They are all in the 30-40hp range and it depends on the actual car on how much you are getting.

Sneaker, u think bypassing the bypass would give him more boost at launch? 4psi seems pretty low.

It may hold 1 or 2psi more but I think the TC is holding it at that PSI. The most I've ever held on the brake was 5 or 6psi

I said i hold it at 2000 while staged, then when the first amber comes on i go wot until the 3rd amber which is only about a second it goes to 3000 and 4psi, if i hold it any longer the boost keeps going up over 6 psi and the car pushes through the lights, i almost bent thebrake pedal trying to hold it. And it really spins the tires alot. Im trying to launch the car without spinning. On the street forget it, if you put it against the converter and let go of the brake it instantly goes to 6000 and you shift 2nd and it will smoke the tires for 100 feet. I cant even mat it from a roll, it just melts the tires. This scr makes amazing bottom end torque

borla exhaust no hp increase
Well we took it to track yesterday with the first mod we did which was borla cat back system 140487. No noticeable difference over the stock exhaust. Conditions were almost identical to the last time it went 15.30. Amazingly the 60 ft picked up .1 to 2.17 from consistent 2.26 but it didnt pick up anything up top like i thought it would. So this week we are switching from scr 8040 to trifecta elite tune and putting on the k&n intake and we will try that next week

If I were u i would do a run with just trifecta to see if the tune is doing as good as your scr 8040. U could always add the intake there if u guys carry tools.
