1.8 Powe Mods?

I just installed an injen air intake system (serial #SP7035BLK)
it definitely gave me a little more "get up and go" PLUS it sounds so throaty and deep when i accelerate. I'm really happy with the purchase.
specs online say it adds up to 8HP and 6ft-lb. torque, and i can feel it.
i'm looking into exhaust systems next, but haven't found anything really. That's what we get for buying the 1.8L i guess :blankface:

Tune from BNR and catless header are the best option.
maybe intake, E85 if you're fancy

When you get it, plug it in to OBD port and do a read. Sent him the file and a list of mods you have, and he will send you a base tune to flash. Then you send him a data log and any mods you've added and repeat the cycle until he's happy with your logs and you're happy with your tune. Best bang for the buck is a BNR tune even for the 1.8 I'd strongly recommend doing a search and do some reading. There's some good videos on YouTube as well that highlight and demonstrate the process.

Some people hate the headrests... some don't.
I also removed the door lock posts, cause they stabbed me in the arm.
This requires removing the door panel, but is pretty straight forward.

Unfortunately the 1.8 didn't get love from the aftermarket.. But like all NA motors you can free up the breathing (exhaust and intake) and add fuel (tune and injectors)...
I'd say the GM Performance Suspension would be a good add for improved handling. All other suspension bits are the same on all years and models.
If you're looking for a fast car save your money. Since there aren't many mods beyond what everyone has mentioned you probably don't want to spend $5 k pioneering a turbo system that will probably blow something up and cost you another $3-5k to fix...

Not trying to defeat your speed dreams, just not much out there for big power adders.
If you have the budget do a turbo BNR can tune for it but custom ain't cheap

Tune, intake, full header back exhaust, E-85 kit, full suspension, it will be a fun daily. None of the sonics are actually "fast", they're are just fun to drive, zippy and pretty easy to make your own.
Yeah i realize that these cars arent too fast, just looking for mods to make the car more fun, ill look into the mods that were suggested, hopefully wake the car up a little.
I can tell you I absolutely loved my '12 1.8 LT. Never got around to a tune, but had the K&N intake, ZZP Catback without a resonator or a 2nd cat, and ZZP springs, and it was fun as hell to drive.
Switching to a 1.4, completely stock it is definitely more fun than the 1.8 ever was. Just a shame I have a lack of noise makers right now.

no heat shields? otherwise its a hot air intake.
