I mean I guess if you're gonna carry a firearm in the vehicle with the intention of having to use it if needed, than yeah this a great setup. However if you get pulled over, I would highly recommend hands sitting outside the window and letting the officer know right away before they get freaked out. But always cool to see snazzy machine work. I just use the false floor, hopefully ill never need it readily available.

Leave that cubby by the radio alone! the gun will be too high and everytime you pass a cop he'll want to pull you over and ask questions. Any crook that is in the process of robbing/carjacking you will be forced to bust a cap in your ass cause by the time he see's it he has already committed himself. the cup holder gives you the element of surprise that will help you see the next day.

One more point

I would also like to point out that most criminals try to take you by surprise so you cant try to drive off. If you reach under your seat you may as well be a dead man! That is if they have a gun. Having a gun in the middle cup holder is a great idea (if it's legal) because it can't be seen. You can grab it and unlock the safety as you climb out of the car "bam" never knew what hit em!

Now to be honest I don't live or drive into areas that have the need for that kind of protection. maybe your job creates the need for you to transport your weapon.

A guy robbed a Papa John's pizzaria the other day for $89, ran from the police crashed and then got shot. Dead for less than $100, my mother taught me 2 important facts of life;

1. I will not bail your ass out of jail.
2. If your gonna screw up do it right don't rob a liquor store, the bank has more money.

My point is this hopefully nobody is that worried about getting car jacked in a Sonic, too many Mercedes, Caddy's, hell camaro's and mustangs out there to worry about that.

Work kinda got stopped on my holsters kinda lost interest sense my most recent modification to my gun no longer allows it to use this holster type lol. In the mean time I did lower my sonic a little bit.

Ok, but just a few questions

What did you do or use to lower your sonic, it looks good. I also would like to know a little about your lifestyle. Are you a cop or what? I a gun back in 2008 and still havent fired it, yet alone thought about carrying it in the car. Don't get me wrong I aint about hating, but im just curious as to why? i also have a Glock 19, Smith and Wesson Sigma 40, Smith and Wesson 9mm (small frame), and a no name 9mm that was very cheap and honestly I'm afraid it will backfire and kill me. I have lived in the hood, the burbs, and the inner city and I have never felt that unsafe.

For me I thinki about your holster and I think of when I lived in the city (Detroit and Cleveland) and I was worried about leaving cigarettes on the seat because somebody would bust the window just for a pack of smokes or pocket change. I would have to hide the gun everytime I get out of the car. Cant carry into the court house, the library, the hospital, the nursing home or the community college. When I lived in the hood and felt like I was the only fool coming home from work at midnight I moved! Too many crackheads and thugs.

So I'm just a little curious as to what you do that necessitates instant access. Do you carry large sums of money from a business? law enforcement? or self preservation?

Well unfortunately I can't tell you what I do for a living, but as for my lifestyle I'm just a regular guy. I carry my pistol with me every where I go that it is legal. With my holster in my car it is out of some ones sight who really isn't looking for one but when I'm not in the car nether is the gun. I live in Alabama , I'm no redneck lol, but where my job is in a big city where shooting have happened so it's ease of mind knowing if the situation calls for it I can defend myself and my loved ones. I go shooting every weekend and keep up with the gun laws of my area and surrounding states when I go on trips. I'm no paranoid gun carrying guy, but I do wanna make sure if it ever comes to it my family and myself don't become a statistic. I make sure I'm trained in handling and use of my firearms weather it's my pistols or AR15s. Plus my line of work it helps to know what's going on in the world of ballistics and things like that.

Oh and I lowered it on kspeeds springs. I'm trying to figure out what direction I wanna go with wheels.

I guess thats a good enough answer for me. If you can't tell me what you do because then you'll have to kill me (LOL) then you must have to think more on your feet than me. My work has sent me into some undesirable areas of Detroit and I am prohibited from carrying while at work. Most of the sites I go have 0 tolerance policies even in the parking lot. One fell under DHS authority and was walked on a regular basis with dogs that would sniff out explosives and even traces of powder residue. My car ended up with multiple deep scratches from the dogs with nothing I could do about it. At least the strip of spent Hilti shots (.27 caliber blank for a Hilti powder actuated driver) was in plain sight. If it has been under a seat they would have smashed my window to check. It would have been on me to repair the damage as well. We know this since it happened to someone else and he was informed that he will not be reimbursed for the damages. Glad im off that job.

Yes. Just a hobby though so I won't be driving around with it. Mine was an unfinished paper weight by limited 10. Like the AR's you have finish yourself.

thats an interesting grip/rail thing. where did you get it i dont remeber seeing anything like that. i was thinking of some type of mount for my carry gun but the fnx is kinda large to fit most places

It's called recover grip rail system. It's pretty cool but the only holster it fits in is their brand holster or you stretch out a sticky holster. I carry a full size 5 inch 1911 so I had to figure out a way to keep it handy but also out of site.
