2014 RS, 6/m- what should rpm in 6th gear be at 75mph?

Hey all,
I just purchased the car and driving home I noticed at 75 mph in 6th gear my rpm was around 3200 rpms and the gas mileage was only 24 mpg.

Having driven other manual cars, the rpms seem a little high to me thus resulting in the terrible gas mileage (24mpg on the live dash reading), I would think the 6th gear should result in 1800 rpms???

I believe it should be getting 35mpg/highway???

No, this is correct for your transmission and gear ratio. The original 13-16 RS 6MTs have a 4.18 ring gear coupled with a 0.74 6th gear, so even in 6th you're spinning lots of RPMs. My 13 RS has done the exact same RPMs as you mention since I bought it new in 2013.

I've gotten 35mpg hwy at 70-75mph maybe 2x in the 7 years I've owned mine, expect more in the 32-33mpg range on mostly flat ground.
