2014 sonic 31k mylink started playing bizarre beeping music like an 80s video gam!

Driving home listening to NPR. Suddenly Mylink started playing a beeping midi-sounding tune, like an old school video game. Was extremely loud! Note it was NOT playing through car audio. I turned volume off and it kept going. I recorded it and also recorded my call to onstar, they could hear it, never heard of it, diagnostic pull all good.

I even turned mylink off and it continued. It is DEFINITELY coming from the mylink or behind it. I'll try and post the audio. Google finds nothing. Onstar never heard of it. Called dealer, they never heard of it

So bizarre. Finally after 20 minutes of this torture it has stopped. It was not from my phone, BT off..

Lol, that is crazy! Not laughing at your misfortune but appreciating the sheer madness you must've been going through, I wonder if it's an easter egg you stumbled across. Now if you could replicate it then others could try to reproduce it as well.

"couldn't recreate it". I kid you not. Does it 90% oh the time for me.. Fits leaking crankshaft seal symptoms perfectly. I. Even have video. But nope.... Third time there can't recreate problem. It was doing it when j drive up, per instructions on trip 2 (when it was doing it when I drive up so they know I'm not nuts) on trip 3 take it straight up tech bay of making noise.i try to catch random employee jumping in my car and scream leave it on, he ignores me.

Anyone from gm on here? This is a joke. At least it's power train if they think they're running the warranty out on this.....

No it's been in the shop since due to leaking front crankshaft seal which they can't recreate, and some body work etc.
