I noticed yesterday that My Sonic which usually sits at around 30 mpg city was displaying 2 mpg. The mpg slowly climbed up to 17 while driving and after idling for a few minutes dropped back into single digits. Now even while driving I can see the gauge fluctuating greatly up and down.
Has anyone had this issue? I know cold affects mpg but I’ve never seen the gauge do this in the three or so years I’ve had the car even in below freezing temps. My check engine light has not turned on.
