2015 Chevy Sonic Coolant disappearing quickly

My mother in law and husband purchased a 2015 Sonic Turbo. The coolant slowly started disappearing at first with no sign of where it was going. Today she had to fill the reservoir up 3 times, each time the coolant would quickly disappear. We’d let it run for a few and then turn the car off after the reservoir basically ended up empty. We’d give it just a bit and take off the cap to the reservoir and it would quickly flood back in the box! What is happening?! Also, the fan kicks in so that it doesn’t overheat.

I had this issue and it was a bad thermostate and housing was leaking. They are cheap on amazon.

The thermostats on these are pure junk. You can find them on rock auto for amazon for a cheap price. But in all my time under the hood, never came across one that leaks like this.

If it truly has no sign of where it is going, then its only going once place - out the tailpipe... Bad head gasket.

How many miles on the car?

Maybe the previous owner (or seller) put some stop leak in it and it is now failing.

OP makes it seem to be escaping awful fast! Now, where did it go?

Tailpipe = White Smoke.
Crankcase = Milky Oil Gunk Stuff
Ground = Pinkish fluid on the ground.
Heater Core = Wet Floor in Passenger Compartment

It has to leave evidence somewhere. So, what was the outcome, where did you find it?
