It seems the new 1.4T will be a stroker crank and tune away from the 1.5T

212 hp / 230 tq with a stock trifecta tune.
& -44 lbs weight from current 1.4T.

Interesting engine swap candidate, or trade-in if the new Sonic is much lighter. Looks like a turbo swap is possible on the new series' manifold.

Nice catch Rudy. That's 70 lbs off just the auto + 1.4L drivetrain. The total weight loss for the new Cruze is 200lbs.

Unfortunately the manual will be the same M32 with no new goodies.
It seems the new standard Cruze M32 will have the old Cruze ECO gearing.
