2016 Facelift Swap

Well, what with the new 2016 Sonic over in China having a new front and rear, I decided to have a little fun.

So here's a terrible photoshop job of the awesome 2015 sonic headlights and dusk rims on a 2016 facelift Sonic/Aveo from China. Note the equally terrible bowtie emblem delete, and front license plate delete.

not bad, a little more sleek ,more definition in the hood (those creases would help stiffen that soft area)... better fogs with built in LED

The interior of the Chinese one has a different IP cluster... same placement of lights and warnings, just different shape.

Oh wow!

I wondered why it looked oddly familiar, despite being a completely new car.

Still, I really like the lower profile of the hood, and the larger lower grill. I just hate the new headlights, which are completely boring.

Also, it looks like the facelift lights are slightly wider at the inside edge. If I was to do a swap like this IRL, I would probably have to get some black trim and cut it to create a filler piece. Either that, or cover the hole with mesh.

Too bad modern cars aren't as flexible as the old Nissan S-chassis.
