As the title says, my girlfriends AC only works after I disconnect the battery. The compressor clutch won’t engage until I reconnect, then it works perfectly. As we know that is a temporary fix. Checked the fuses and they are good, new cabin air filter, and new pressure switch. Going to look over the wiring today but was hoping someone could point me to a couple areas prone to failure. Thanks in advance!

I guess I figured it out, but not sure what the fix was lol Flushed the coolant and refilled and ta da! Working like a charm for the past month.

If coolant was low, or air in the system, the thermostat may have had an air bubble hindering proper operation and temperature reading.
A/C won't run if something is amiss with coolant temperature or readings.
Since our Sonic's have no temperature gauge to even see approximate coolant temperature, the only way to see vital engine readings is to connect a decent scanner to the OBD port and see if anything is not right.
There may have even been some gunk in the coolant preventing proper flow and affecting things.
Who really knows with stuff like this anymore. . right?
