I don't think wie would retain any factory functions with any aftermarket radio because nobody makes an integration module such as Nav TV, Metra axxess, Pac audio. I hand made the midbass adapters with MDF using a jigsaw and router. All speakers have their own channel of amplification. The midbass are bridged from a 4 channel amp.

That's why I'd rather leave the stock HU, I'd much rather retain the stock functionality, especially since my car is financed. And if each speaker is on a dedicated channel , how many amplifiers do you have?

I'm sorry I have soo many questions, lol. I've just never seen such a serious audio setup on a post-MCE Sonic like ours or any Sonic for that matter.

Questions are great. No problem I ask questions all the time on diyma.com. I currently have two amps a 5 channel and a 4 channel. the 5 channel powers the midbass and sub and the 4 channel powers the midrange and tweeters. Soon i will change the amps out to an 8 channel and a mono amp and the DSP will be integrated in the 8 channel (JL VX 800/8i)
