2017 Sonic paint defect.

I bought this car brand new. Less than 100,000 miles and 3 years later the paint has disappeared on the hood and top as if someone sanded it off leaving it a dull ugly grey. Warranty would not cover it.

Mine is the same. Notice it on quite a few sonics I see. It is a problem on some Silverados and Equinoxes too! It is the clear coat that is bad.

I have not had that problem. My car stays in the garage when it's not being driven and I only drive it twice/week. Sorry to hear this is an issue for you and I hope you can find a cheap easy resolution to your problem.
