3rd trip to the dealer 2nd major issue

My little Sonic made it back to the dealer on Saturday. I was driving to my boyfriends an hour away when I saw the check engine light on. I was close to the bad dealership and thought it better for my sanity to take it back to the good one and have them check her out. They found that a little plastic piece fell off my turbo and that caused the engine light to come on. And I can't drive my little Sonic until they fix it because I was going so far away with her.

They gave me a black Cruze eco.... I wanted a black Cruze eco, it has a few things my Sonic could never have, and a few things I like about my Sonic, but I could be happy with a Cruze if its not making trips to the dealership as much as my Sonic.

I have till the middle of the week to drive this and hope its the final issue on my Sonic. I go the Sonic because I was spending $500 a month in gas on my Jeep. I wanted something dependable but not too boring. I got 1/2 that with my Sonic but would rather have it be more boring and dependable. I think she might get sold before I hit 36,000 and have a major issue I have to pay out of pocked for.

2nd issue was a horn, it started getting quite and muffled. I went to a better dealership and they listened to my "my horn is quiet complaint" they grabbed another Sonic and we compared honks. I felt crazy coming in with a lame problem but they helped me and fixed the problem.

Anyone else feel their Sonic was made on a Friday or Monday?

I've had a number of things go on mine but I still like it and don't plan on getting rid of it any time soon
- both front struts replaced (separate visits)
- font swaybar links were replaced
- front subframe (took 6 visits or so)
- waterpump went resulting in coolant leak
- rearview mirror got loose on the mount and vibrated all the time (just recently replaced)
- shift knob rubber trim got warped and deformed, shifter patter on top fell off*

* knob itself is not serviceable and thus dealer needed to replace entire linkage assembly. Two times at the dealership and still they didn't get it right; first time I picked up it wasn't going into 6th, second time it wasn't going into 1st well as the shifter was hitting plastic housing when pushed left into first. :lol:

I live with it. I still like the car.

I want to love this car more, but I want to feel comfortable its not going to break on me.

I need a new sticker for it by the end of next month. I should be getting it back Aug 1st or 2nd so I can run it to get a sticker before getting home. I'm kinda nervous that something will happen middle of Aug and it won't pass.

I do stuff like this to get my Jeep to pass for a sticker, it's been lifted the front end needs work sometimes I've tightened up the front end just to pass inspection. Others I take it to a place that's a little sketchy to get it to pass. I don't really want to worry about a 2012 passing inspection, but here I am with my Jeep passing with flying colors this year and worrying about the Chevy.
