I just passed 102,000 miles without a catch can, or needing to empty one.
Imagine that?
Has anyone considered installing the oil catch can over the exhaust manifold? This should help reduce water condensation and also melt any accumulated water in the can.
It is the owners responsibility to maintain the aftermarket part, don't install an OCC if you're not going to monitor it. It would be a nice feature to have a pressure relief valve built into the OCC (to save the valve cover and throw a code), but still it is the owner's problem to watch it.

-10an fittings and 3/8" hose is what I used, but is very tight getting the hose on the pcv plastic fittings. If I was to redo my setup, I would def go with -12an fittings and 1/2" hose.Does anyone know what size fitting the PCV is/has? I want to do a nice catch can set up with all -10AN fittings and zero worm clamps if I can.
New upcoming mods to my catch can. Going to install it horizontally. Nice that this thread contains the how to access the top hats as I'll need to get into that area to setup the mount for my can. Still trying to find the best prices on the parts (just noticed I picked out the wrong size fitting for the brass reducer). May get things locally.
I tapped the 1/8" hole to 3/8" for a sight glass (B) instead of the PTC clear hose setup they had originally.
The vacuum gauge (A) should let me know if something is wrong????? If not it will look neat.
I will have a baffle to protect the gauge port and a K&N breather filter w/ 5/8" ID inside the catch can on the line that goes to the turbo.
