Ads on pics

What's up with all the ads being displayed on pics?

I have been on here for 2 weeks and never saw an ad on a picture until yesterday. Now I see them on almost every pic.

Is this something new or was I just lucky for a week or so?

yeah, when I am on my normal computer, I am on a Chromebook right now and doesn't have that capability. Mainly they are ads that cover the bottom 1/3 of the pic. On linked ones and attached pics. there is a little "x" in upper to close out ad.

I will screen shot when i get to my actual computer,

also noticing that if you accidently hover over one of those links it creates in posts for a quick second, it is bringing up big ads too, that you have to manually close out

Other forums have offered to pay like $20 or so to get premium account with no ads. I would be up for that if offered.

It was happening yesterday too mainly when I was looking on what people looked like thread. Today it happened when I was looking at my own pics of white sonic. it was on 2 out of the 5 pics there.

But when I go back to it, now no ads are popping.

might have fluke, but look like others are experiencing it.

Are ads NOT supposed to be popping up on pics?

I haven't noticed any ads as of late.
I do remember seeing small ads at the bottom of the image a while back, but that never make anything pop up.

On the other hand, I do have the ad-blocker plugin on the Chrome browser on my Computer...

Edit: Haven't noticed any ads in pictures on my iPhone either. (Stupid Verizon one still pops up though. -_-)

ok I cleared the cookies and started page back up, below is what I got. They don't come up everytime, but a lot. I wasn't able to get the ad on a linked pic, but when I did see them, they looked the same.

Here are to screen shots of the ads appearing on the linked pics. Like I said, never saw this before until yesterday--then appearing a lot.
