I machined up two more fittings this morning (and two additional blanks that just require final finishing) after I unexpectedly got cleaned out over the W/E.

Let me know if you want to remove the last problematic plastic piece of the outlet tee.

Worked like a charm! Very happy with it and it looks great. A couple min and a pair of needle nose pliers and it was done.

I just received two of these fittings today from him. These are very well made and an end to the weak points of the cooling system. I am using these with an aluminum water inlet. I hope to have many years of driving with them.

Hi all,

I now make a fitting to change out the 2 plastic connectors that connect the outlet tee to the expansion tank. Even if you change to the ZZP or Mitzone aluminum outlet tee (and you should) then you are still left with the little plastic fittings which often break and leave you stranded.

I have tested this solution for about 100,000 miles on my Chevy Cruze and it has been bulletproof.

I can sell these for $30 plus $6 shipping for the straight fitting to US destinations and $31 for the 90 degree hose barb version.View attachment 16923

I'm sorry I don't. On the 1.4 engine I can eliminate the plastic clip but on the 1.8 one cannot do that so I would have to remake the clip somehow and its not obvious how that can be done.
