Oh boy, wish I would have known about this issue before hand so I could have at least got the parts together, bc overall I enjoy this car (2015). I'll try and keep this short as I have found loads of these posts but am having trouble piecing all the info together to get this issue resolved. If there is a mega thread I've miss please link me and I will delete this waste of space.
Found first leak in overflow tank crack. Replaced that and now the radiator hose under the coolant outlet is building up so much pressure it is sliding off until it can release pressure, spraying coolant everywhere. I can see a slow flow of coolant coming out of the outlet into the reservoir tank but am not sure if it is the proper rate and a sign of a bad water pump. I've read about a "big 3" of mods but am having trouble locating those parts. Thermostat that opens at a lower temp shouldn't be an issue, but I'm not sure on the lower pressure cap and fan relay. I will be upgrading to aluminum coolant outlet, fitting, and thermostat housing. Might hold off on the ZZP tank as $200 is a bit much for not coming with a better cap unless you all deem it necessary.
Why does this system run so hot? Why am I not moving heat? Do I have a water pump or radiator issue? Is it the turbo system getting to hot? I had my heat full blast last night and it did just enough to get me home while draining the last of my coolant. I'm lost and about to pull out my hair. I'm not worried about doing any of the work to fix it, I just need to know what to fix. PLEEEES HAAAALP
