Auto trans leak

I changed the oil today and noticed that I have the same problem ... copied the info and will be heading to the dealer tomorrow morning .. still under warranty so should be no problem.

I just returned from the dealer (Gerry Lane Chevrolet in Baton Rouge) ... parts have been ordered .. car is ok to drive but they will call me as soon as their demo's come in .. either today or tomorrow .. told me it would take 1 - 1 1/2 days to fix ... very good experience ... Mark was my service writer

I noticed a similar leak when changing the oil on my wife's Cruze. It was the TC seal, dealer put in a new seal kit, problem solved.

Looks like i have the damned auto leak too.
A few drops of oil on the floor from transmission side..oil film over the transmission and back...

I guess I will have to remove my downpipe before taking in for repairs...

Your downpipe shouldn't cause any problems with getting transmission work done.

Since we're reviving this thread, might as well mention that my transmission is leaking again. Even after repairing it.

Depends on the dealer I suppose. I was in and out of my local Chevy dealer 6 or 7 times, with all of my mods installed and they never said a word.

Yeah it's a pain, but a voided warranty is a bigger pain.

Yep, and I had it replaced. Which caused so many more problems. But it's leaking again.

One more to add to the count. Went to get the oil changed. Service manager came out to tell my trans is leaking and that the TC seal needs to be replaced.

Oh poo. How many things do they mess up while replacing the seal? They have to drop the transmission?

Dropping the transmission is likely considering it's listed as a mere 5 hour job. The only other way to do it is to pull the engine and that's a lot more work with all the wires, hoses, and draining of coolant.

Too bad Tyler said his is leaking again.. very sad. In theory they could seal it better than the factory if they do it right. In practice though I would imagine cleaning the surfaces properly and attention to detail are needed...

Changed the engine oil at 11,000 miles on my 1.8l and have the leak as well. I am scheduled for a visit next Tuesday. Hopefully, TAC will also have the fix for the 1.8 start-up issues figured out. If not, hopefully they are still working on a fix.

Well, the dealer said that the trans leak was form oil from the build process. I took their conclusion and waited... it is now time for the next oil change and I crawled under the car this evening..... guess what?? It's worse and I think the converter started slipping this week. See picture below.
