Back wiper not always working

hey ive had a problem with my back wiper not always working when i turn it on when im on a hill. it seems to only happen when its either snowy out or really cold. I took it in to my dealership last winter when i started having problems with it day in and day out and they couldnt get it to not work. they said they cleaned all the connections and checked the switch and stuff but still didnt find anything wrong. After i took my car in i didnt really have any problems with until just a couple of weeks ago.
So i was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if anyone knows what is causing it to not work

I've just never used it because I've had some with wipers and they scratch the crap out of the glass so I never use it

i havent had any issues withmine scratching the glass but i have seen that happen on other cars

My mother told me she was having the same problem. she found out that it doesn't work if you use the remote starter. If you shut it off then restart it works fine.

I havent had any issues with the wiper working, though I don't have remote start cause with a 6 speed we get jipped.


$ub$onic, do you not use the front wipers either? I mean, they would be just as likely, if not twice as likely to scratch glass as the rear. This question is sarcastic, although my self being a big rainx fan I could see it being a serious quesiton as well.

I actually only use my rear wiper to wash the window, all of the salt they use around us keeps the glass pretty dirty.

I am sorry you are experiencing this issue with your vehicle. I have looked into this further; however, there are currently no known rear wipers issues available within my resources at this time.

If this issue persists, I recommend consulting with a certified technician for additional assistance. It is possible there may be a connection issue. They will be able to offer more information after inspecting the vehicle.

My mother told me she was having the same problem. she found out that it doesn't work if you use the remote starter. If you shut it off then restart it works fine.

I'll have to pay attention next time i use remote start to see if that causes the issue


something else i forgot to mention is that the wiper wont work on a hill when i try to turn it on when im on a hill. most of the time when this happens is when im going to backing down my driveway (which is on a hill of course) and cant see out of my back window so i attempt to clean it
