Considering the Sonic had very good built-in bluetooth capabilities, I am wondering how many will activate or continue to use the OnStar phone services?
Personally, I haven't bothered with the OnStar phone service in any of my vehicles as my cellphone combined with a bluetooth speaker system is more than adequate and in fact, I don't believe that I'll even bother activating the OnStar in my new Sonic. The Sonic's in-car bluetooth voice recognition is very good, it has the ability to store a small amount of numbers and it seamlessly transfers voice activated commands over the bluetooth to my Acer Liquid E Android phone. I suppose I will be missing other OnStar features, but I'm having a difficult time justifying the additional expense for OnStar when it's two main features I'd be likely to utilize (phone and directions) are already well served by my Android device.
So what are other Sonic owners going to do - enjoy the free period and then nothing, keep a paid OnStar subscription or just not bother at all?
