Brand New - Check Engine Light?

Before I start or ask for answers, I am planning to visit the dealership in the next week.

Just got our Sonic LTZ 1.4L Turbo last week though, only have about 200 miles on it. Check engine light is already on... I called onstar for the fun of it, they said something with emissions system.

I thought this was odd for being brand new, but I'm just curious if anybody else had this happen. Thanks for any input, I will post the results from the dealership soon. Have a great weekend!

Make sure the gas cap is tight.

Gas cap looks good - manual says bad gas could cause this too. Touchy little thing isn't it....

honestly, not really. Gas cap looks good, but did you take it off and put it back in to be sure?

Does the car feel normal when driving?

Finally finished the first tank of gas in the car. When the gas low warning light came on, or around that time, the check engine light went off.

Hopefully that is the end of that. Filled it up and everything seems to be back in business.
