Almost right in the center of PA. You might know it as Penn State University. A bit of a drive from Ohio (and a boring one at that) but still an awesome place that has so much to do!

I80 is gorgeous. Depending on where in Ohio you are coming from, you can swing through Pittsburgh and take 28 north. There are a ton of State Forests along 28 (Susquahannok is great). Grove City for shopping. An abandoned turnpike with some incredibly long abandoned tunnels. Depends on your interests, but you could make quite a trip out of it.

Would depend on my work schedule and when I have my daughter. I don't get many weekends off..
