So I haven't done much as of yet. All I have done is black out all of the chrome/polished plastic bits on the exterior and removal of the front license plate mount. Next will be a compromise between CA Law and blacked out front corners. After that I will have to do my wife's orange Sonic Sedan. First official mods will be a budget exhaust setup (assuming it is worth the effort) and (although not really budget minded) BC Coilovers. It's really going to depend on how soon and if I get this job with Tesla and if the hours are really 10-12 hours a day 6 days a week. For now, here's the girl as she stands:

You did a great job blacking out the chrome, very clean. Sometimes I think about doing that to mine but I worry it won't turn out good, plus the chrome blends with the silver pretty good.

Silver you can Def get away with the chrome. If you decide to black out the chrome there's an easy way to do it cheap and make sure you're patient while taping and letting the paint dry. Have something that can kill your idle time.

Nice Job! Cant wait to see your thoughts on he bc coilovers once you have them installed. opcorn: I dipped my chrome, only because I didn't have faith in my skills either. If i messed it, just peel and spray again.

Thanks man. The BC's will be a little while tho. My wife and I agreed that I need to save double a part's cost before I can buy. Gotta save for a house down payment. The only reason why I went with paint was because I had a couple cans laying around from other projects. I may do a DIY write up if anybody is interested. I still have to do my wife's sonic.

Quick update: I got my hands on some plastidip today. Great stuff! Totally wird switch from paint. Anyway, I have this thing for tinted lights. Unfortunately, I live in Cali and tinted lights are illegal. So I made a compromise. Here are the results:

I was thinking the same thing. The plastidip was kind of a whim while I was at walmart. I have a can of glossifier on order
