Car phone mount

After looking through about 100 pages on this forum, the most I could come up with is a bunch of people asking for a phone mount that fits in the ticket holder, one homade mount, and another brandless one purchased from walmart.
Without anything to go on, and with a note 2 that limits my options due to its size i began shopping around and came across this:

pros:
-its cheap! ~$4 :banana:
-the vent hooks are the perfect fit for the ticket holder, and the hooks add some spring to make for a nice snug fit.
-you can put the phone in horizontal mode
-I doesn't cover any controls!
-You can leave the flip cover on if you use one!
-snug fit, phone isn't going anywhere

Cons:
-Cheap plastic; the hooks seem easy to break if you screw around with it too much; for its purpose its fine though! It will not break under normal use.
-you have to unscrew 1 screw to put it into horizontal mode.

DO NOT put the hooks in with the open end facing up, it will get caught inside; there is a ledge on the top of the card holder. You'll break it trying to get it out.

This particular phone charger is only for the note 2, however if you search amazon for "everydaysource car air vent phone" you will find one for just about any phone with the same kind of mount which is what is important for fitting in the ticket holder!

my big challenge was finding one that would work with a note 2; especially one with a flip cover. On top of that, finding one that fits into the ticket holder without any modifications seems pretty hard to come by, so i thought i'd share.

like I said, the one in the picture is for the note 2, but if you search for what i posted, you'll find ones with identical mounts that will fit in the ticket holder for just about any phone.

I also like how mine doesn't drop the phone any, its more or less centered on the ticket holder so all controls are completely unblocked; a feat in iteself when trying to fit a note 2 on there.

Yeah I had to devise a custom bracket from some scrap metal, plexiglass, and electrical tape to get it to fit in the card holder snugly and at the right angle. I also removed the suction cup and mounted it to the bracket with a small bolt, which needs periodic tightening if I rotate the mount too often.

Mine doesn't block any controls either. It's just the angle of the pic. It does sorta block the view of the passenger airbag activation light (which is useless IMO anyway)

Plus the mount is highly adjustable so many different phones can fit

I bought this one from amazon for our tahoe when I was driving it. I liked it enough that I bought another one our van which then moved to the sonic when I got it. Its "for" a galaxy note, but I got it for our galaxy S3s.

Bit off topic, but also bought this to mount our HP Touchpad in the back so the kids can watch it on long trips.
