Carbon Roof?

I searched but just incase I missed something, has anyone 3M Di noc'd there entire roof yet?

I have seen it a few times on VWs and I loved the way it looked on my TT but my TT was a much smaller roof than the Sonic.

My fear is it will be TOO much. And once you have fake carbon on your vehicle and you cant put real on there cause it looks like crap side by side.

If you have thought of this any reasons you havent done it yet?

If you did this please post pics of multiple angles!

I dipped my whole roof and a few members have viynled the roof but no cf that i know of

I think it would look good but as you said now you can't put any real CF on the car. There is a company that makes a vinyl that looks so real I couldn't tell which was the fake but I don't recall the name of it.

I have the 3M-DiNoc on my mirrors and chevy badges. Keep in mind it only has a 5yr? UV protection. Eventually natures elements will weather it badly. The 3M-DiNoc isn't made to be removed. I can easily replace the areas I have them on if needed, roof, not so much.

All good points, this has to be the best forum over the years of different cars that i have owned that seems to be the least amount of...tool bags? haha that just bash every idea instead of good negatives to think about, yea i knew of the 5yr but everything i have put it on i have been able to take off a year later..now 5 years later I dont know but could always reapply?

For whatever reason, and maybe its years in the office of a high end body shop but I can not wrap my brain around the dip stuff working very well. I have watched all there videos and reviews and you guys swear by it but I just dont feel comfortable with it, really wish I did though!

I have painted parts to look like CF, dark charcoal almost black then lay jointers tape down (very time consuming) and then black over that, lift the tape and clear coat it and there ya go...looks great from 5 ft but up close looks like cheesy paint job lol

and perhaps I wait for warmer weather and just start off with real CF, but this was an option and for others that think about it it answers some questions.

Stop by Lowe's or Home Depot and grab a can of black Plastidip and see for yourself! I'm not trying to say that it some sort of super high quality finish but it does a damn good job for the price and ease of use.
