Should've just been Evos then, why hide it under Sonic skin, I guess it really is "more than meets the eye" huh, Chevy should be ashamed to even allow such a crime, I bet it's the only car in the movie like that too...

You damn right I am, every Sonic I see in racing or movies excites me, but to find out it isn't even one on the inside makes me cringe...
It could be Decepticon from the purple colorway (that would be hella sick), but it looks like the good guys from the film are driving in it, sooo...

I'm going over in my head the transformers it could be that might have defected one way or the other. Only thing I'm coming in with is Drift.. He was a decepticon and defected to autobot. He's something like a Nissan Silvia(drool) he's obviously a drift car, but Bay has proved that he doesn't mind changing things like that, and a rally car could IMO be adequately called Drift.
In fact, I think Drift would be awesome as a Sonic...and that may or may not have been where we got the idea for 'Kyrie's story:

Uhhhh... Cars in movies rarely if ever have the "normal" engine/powerplant in the car. If/when something on the car is broken, they can't be flighting around trying to find parts for 130827 different cars. I know that just about every car in Fast and Furious 6 had a LS3 in them, since they can get parts everywhere, and it's a common block that people know how to work on.

True this! Just like in TF1 when they have the hood of the '76 up, Megan Fox talks about having a double pumper carb on it (and in real life it had a awefull looking carb'd engine) but the cut scene in the movie showed a very clean fuel injected engine with a hildebrand looking intake set up...
They rarely ever car about the actual cars except when they are borrowing a prototype...
