Looks like at chevy.com they added some updated photo's and some info about the RS today. It state's the price starts at $20,995.00.

that's a good price there's nothing really in that category against it except the veloster , the gti is to high of price along with the focus st, so the rs pretty much has nothing to worry about at this point unless the fiesta st comes out

I'm doing my very best to hold out for an RS, 20 and some change is not bad at all for what you get with the little thing. Trying to get by with one car! If not LTZ it will be. curious if RS parts will available for other models. I'd love throwing those seats in an LT lol.

I did a search and could not find Sonic LTZ seats so could not find a potential ballpark price, but I am guessing the RS seats would not be less than $700 each. Hopefully someone with more direct access will be able to find actual numbers.

Laborsmith, looking at GM Parts Center http://www.gmpartscenter.net/ (fill in 2012 Chevy Sonic and go to seats and tracks) it looks like leatherette heated seats run about $600, with all components, for the driver side.

Thank you Eric. Yep, I will say at least $700 for the RS which in addition to the Alacantara like inserts will also have leather instead of pleather seating surfaces, if I have understood what I have read. But whatever the seating surface turns out to be, I believe the price for the front seats will add up fairly quickly.
One thing Chevy usually does right by is the RS Appearance Package and it looks like the Sonic will be well served.

I might disagree with that price estimate, actually. Assuming GM parts center gets the RS parts, and going off how you purchase seats, one should be able to buy just the seat covers, the actual material that you sit on, for roughly $300-350. But, I will stand by that estimate as reasonable for a whole seat.

Well, I'm holding out for the RS but with my move in a few days and my wife and I having to share a car. This may not be an option so.. LTZ and perhaps hook it up with RS goodies later when parts/catalog's get updated will satisfy me as well.
