My mom and I both love my topaz blue 1.4T auto turbo ltz hatch. I wonder how many more adjectives I can cram into that. Seriously, though, who cares if their car is a "chick car" or a "dude car." It's 2012!

Shes wrong, the Sonic is a guys car, the spark however is a chicks car.

I have not had anyone say chick car to me. Not even before the new rims and the rumbling DDM exhaust. I don't think it is too butch for the ladies, but it's not girly like the Cooper, Fiat, or Beetle.

I think it's funny that there is actually a debate over the sonic being a guy or girl car.
We're not talking fiats and sparks, we're talking a standard sedan / hatch style car (stock).
Thats like saying girls aren't allowed to have trucks, because they are manly. Or men can't drive coupes because they are small and girly.

No its not saying women aren't allowed to drive it, its saying it doesn't look like a chicks car. You said earlier that a beetle is a chicks car and you wouldn't even see a guy driving the turbo version.. All i'm saying is the sonic doesn't look like it would be a chicks car like the beetle or in my opinion the spark is.

I think you have me confused with someone else, I havn't spoke about VW at all?
Its not the body of the car that makes it look manly or girly... its the mods or lack of that makes them appear that way.

I probably have but regardless I don't think that girls shouldn't drive a sonic. The problem here is there's no right or wrong answer to this question because its all a matter of opinion.

Well it's not just a car to anyone on this forum, or they wouldn't care about it enough to be on the forum...
But I agree none the less !
Some people (like myself) have very strong views on their cars. I just don't think it's any question on male/female... it's all about how you tune/mod it to your own liking!

People tell me they cant see me in a Sonic because they expect me to be in my truck and don't picture me as a small car type of guy. But that has nothing to do with gender but personality/perception. I'm a muscle car guy that appreciates a car that quick for what it is and still gets 30+ mpg all city.
