Get the 1.4 LT. Or if you really have money burning a hole in your pocket, the LTZ. RS you have to take the transmission out and put a proper one in if one of your main complaints about the F'n ST was the mpg.

In getting almost as good of gas mileage as the other trims. Usually 37/38 I can push it to 40 if I wanted.

Does require keeping your foot out of it. Lol

If I picked up another Sonic it would probably be a 1.4t for DD use. Then the 1.8 would be built up for racecar status. Based on conversations with people that work on the cars with these engines I wouldnt fell too comfortable pushing the 1.4 very far without a full rebuild.

I am only getting 19/24 with my ST, and I don't abuse it. 24 going 70mph on the highway in 6th....... its fun, I just miss my sonic. id rather have the sonic and a new Harley then the st

To me forced induction is addicting, i don't think i could go back (unless another v8)

Me personally, if i had a ST there would be no way i could go to a 1.8 n/a. (usually the 1.4t gets better mpg too)

I get 18-20mpg all city in my STi, I kinda miss the Sonic and it's 32 mpg but not enough to let the STi go for another. With performance mods and a custom tune I'll get a little better mileage though.
