Connection to intercooler?

Does anyone know who makes the connectors from the factory charge tubes to the intercooler? Tried installing the DDM hose kit last night, just to find a VW coolant hose-type connector at the intercooler.

Now looking at the picture on DDM's website, looks like they just stuffed the hoses onto the intercooler and clamped it (maybe ground the tab off, idk). The only solutions I can see are to cut the factory tubes and reuse the connector, clamping the DDM tube over it, or trying to find new connectors.

Go to an auto store and grab a few worm-gear hose clamps, the ones you tighten with a screw driver or small socket.

Lol come on give me some credit here. The way the tubes go over the intercooler does not seem to me that it would be a reliable seal, even using the two hose clamps together on one end. Maybe grinding down the alignment tab on the intercooler would help, but I was looking for a solution that would give me a seal at least as good as the factory.

My initial thought when I saw these clamps was "these are way to european looking for gm to make in house", so I'm assuming they are from an outside supplier, and they look very similar to the hose connectors used on ALMS cars, so I'm just wondering if anyone knows of anywhere they might be available.

the instructions on the charge tube kit does say something about grinding down something but i don't remember what..

Try Vibrant T-Bolts. I've not looked at my charge pipes yet so I'm not sure what they look like, but these are commonly used.

the engine is an Opel design (not positive), yes it's foreign. and it's almost identical to all the stuff BMW uses down to hose clamps, cams, timing cover, and head design/shape. even the turbo looks identical in shape, not size...to the BMW units. but then again there's only so many manufacturers of this stuff, and only so many things you can do before it's at it's maximum potential for engineering

I have not tried contacting ddm. What I did notice the other day at work is the connections look identical to the ones on a 2010 VW TDI. I've been searching TDI forums and emailed Forge to see if they have any input.

So close! Found these Darkside Developments - Clip Connector Adapters for EGR & ASV / Turbo / Intercooler which are the other side of the connector needed. Theres a whole lot of vw forums...

So is it possible if I am installing another OEM intercooler to wiggle the connectors off the one I am replacing and onto the new one?

Yep. The wire part of the clamp pops out partially, then wiggle the hose off.
