coolent sensor connector to big

Why is it that my 2012 sonic 1.8 coolent sensor connector is bigger then the coolent sensor I tried all part stores they can not figure it out purchased

Sensor 55591401 213-4688 and​

213-4688 GM Automotive Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor ‎55591002 55591401 all to small and when the parts places bring up the sensors too small they can not find the size I have in the termostat housing​

Just replace the whole housing. They come with deodorant l sensor

I did but I still am woring on a high voltage cooling system trouble code crazy no overheating fan on high I,m getting 12 volts at plug in and when I check om's on sensor I can not get anything so I want to replace it but no part store has the same on in the new housing and I threw away the old one everything I looked up said it should have 5 volts so wireing good new housing and I replaced ECM thinking maybe it was bad do to the 12 volts it is sending but still bad and yes I replaced both sending units but no matter were I try to get the new one it has a small plug in
