Contacting Pedders

I've left a couple messages with Pedders about purchasing some 5k rear coils.

No response. Is there a better way to reach someone there?

Not that this means anything, but I am told that Ferarri and Haddad when translated mean Smith.

Thanks Labor, I don't know if I was transparent, but this thread was cast with a shiny Laborsmith lure, in hopes it would snag you.

Yeah, I tried the head office and left messages on multiple occasions. It never occurred to me to try an authorized dealer.

I'll give Haddad a try. Thanks again. I'll post any updates here.

Spoke to Haddad, and he basically said they have had a real hard time getting through to Pedders themselves and that they basically call the same number and leave messages.

But the guy was super cool, and I turned the hunt over to him. There is no reason for me to have to do all the phone work. That's what vendors are for.

I agree. Sure would like to know what is going on - almost a year ago Pedders announced they were undergoing a reorganization for the US and I am thinking some of us are caught in the aftweshocks.

Been dealing with the Pedders Issues myself. Understand that there are some court proceedings ongoing and hopefully Pete will be back up a selling them again? Inforamtion is out on a lot of forums of what's going on.

To bring possible interested parties up to date, PeddersUSA is in involuntary bankruptcy proceeding in Texas. Apparently there is a cease/desist order which precludes Pete or others from interacting. Pedders is an Australian company and per threads above referenced is not responding to US customers. I wonder is the series of cataclysmic fires that have sprung up over the past year have included the Pedders factory? I have seen nothing to say that has happened but then again I have seen nothing from Pedders for the last few months.

I predict Pete Basica will be back but not with Pedders. Testament to his suspension cred: GM consults with him when developing performance suspensions. Or did at one time.

I've already got some 5k springs from Ground Control. Putting them in as soon as I get them painted. Sucks for Pedders but, sorry about their luck, WTF are paying customers suppose to do when they have to track down a desisted vendor on forums. They could at the very least say something on their outgoing message.

Won't be buying from them again.

I did not know ground control makes springs for us?

I believe they are Eibachs. I bought the ones suggested by MPFab on his thread in the suspension forums.

They require a little modification though.

For what it's worth, the Cobalt world flocked to Pedders for springs.

After a few years, they started to collapse. Pedders have a warranty against such things, but I don't know anyone who got them to give them new ones.

Eventually an independent shop got Hyperco (they made the springs for every Indianapolis 500 winner since 1965) to produce performance springs for Cobalts that have been amazing.
