I always love love the practicality of a wagon, and this one is pretty sexy!

Boomer: I had the very same feeling when I saw this article. Last week. I'll be watching for what GM has brought to market in about three years, when I'll have another vehicle purchase to make. If the Cruze Wagon is available, I'm buying it. Maybe a diesel variant will be ready.

Lucky US buyers, the Cruze is supposed to be a Global car but in Europe we get ripped off by GM with inferior specifications. 6 Air bags instead of 10,No tire pressure monitor, No powered foldback door mirrors, inferior quality windscreen, etc. & higher prices. Can not get the I.4 turbo engine on the Cruze or on the Sonic/Aveo

Interesting point of view. Ten air bags are US government mandated within the Sonic's model run time frame. Air pressure monitors are a current US government mandate. The fold away mirrors may be, but I do not know for sure.

Show me a car in their class with the same or more for the same money across the globe. The turbo 1.4L wouldn't be accepted there because of the fuel consumption despite the power output.

I do feel that GM should standardize the safety equipment globally, but sometimes local regulations interfere with cars sold in other countries.
