Cruze wheels on the Sonic?

I'm thinking of getting a set of Cruze Eco wheels at some point to put on my Sonic LT with the li'l 15"s. The Cruze Eco wheel is a 17"x7" forged polished wheel made by Alcoa. I'm not sure of the offset, but the bolt pattern is the same.

Whatta you guys think?

If there cheap to get . It might be worth a try . But I agree with Cobra not sporty enough for me .

Yeah, that's too many spokes for a Sonic in my opinion. But if it's your thing, go for it.

The main things I like about them are the weight compared with other stock wheels and the polished finish. I thought about other Cruze wheels but I'd like to keep the weight down for ride quality and economy purposes.

ic, I prefer the 5 or 6 spoke look on a sonic, did you try getting the 17s they offer at the dealership? Those would be awesome looking .

The wheels have to be cleaned by hand from time to time, and that wheel has too many spokes to clean. The less work, the better it is IMHO.

I saw they offer black and white versions of the LTZ 17"s, but I'm not a fan of them and they're pricey.

I like the idea of less unsprung weight and less rotational mass, but those wheels look hard to clean and not right on a Sonic (IMO).

Look elsewhere for a light weight wheel you can live with.

I was also considering those due to the weight, but I think I'll just get some light aftermarket ones eventually.

Both the Interlagos and the Nurburgring (TSW Alloy Wheels) are light weight and rotary forged. The 17X7.5 Interlagos weighs a little less then 17lbs and the Nurburgring just over. Neither currently come in the 5X105 PCD the Sonic requires but when they do I plan to change. The Nurburgring is quite popular amongst current generation Camaro and Corvette drivers.

Okay, this is the worst rendering ever, but I "put" the Cruze Eco wheels on a Sonic.

I think it would look nice with a few of the chrome accessories on it.

My answer is still "no". That's way too many spokes for the Sonic and they look way too 'busy' on the car.

Can you splice the LTZ split 5 spokes on when you get a chance? I think it might look good.

I did this one earlier. The problem with the LTZ wheels is that they weigh 24lbs. each.

I just bought one Cruze Eco wheel off eBay and I'll see how it fits and looks.

I wonder if lowering + 15's is a better tactic on this car. Cut out some air, plus you can get some REALLY light 15's these days.

I guess I just don't really feel compelled to upsize my wheels on this car like I have others. I think Chevy gave it a pretty good stance from the factory, and not to mention I can't get in/out of my driveway without scraping the air splitter as it is.

I don't want to lower it at all, the air dam already scrapes up my neighbor's drive where I turn around sometimes. I just want to put a little more diameter on it. The 15"s just look small to me.

I found those wheels that are on the Sonic Boom concept. They are BBS rims. They cost a **** ton too.
