I have a 2008 Chevy Impala, a 1985 Chevy Corvette, a 1998 Dodge Caravan, and now a new 2013 Chevy Sonic. After I sold my 2005 Dodge Stratus, with only 23K miles on it, I sat there staring at my GM Card top off offer. So I went to test drive a few cars. I test drove the 2013 Malibu and it was a really nice car, but I already have an Impala for smooth cruising. I test drove the 2012 Chevy Traverse, and my sister ended up trading her 2010 Dodge Journey for the Traverse. She and her husband really love the Traverse now, they hated the Journey.
Back to me. I was about to go to Cadillac and get a new ATS and trade in the Impala, but decided to stop by Chevy to test the Cruze, but I saw this tiny little car (the Spark) and checked my top off offer, and the Spark was not included, but something called Sonic was. I asked the salesperson, what is a Sonic, as we were standing next to a white Sonic on the showroom floor. He showed it to me and it was a Turbo. 40 miles a gallon! wow. And not a Hybrid! They bring out a Gray one for me to test drive and the rest is history. It really took me back in time to a highschool girl friend of mine who had a VW Rabbit GTI in the mid 1980's. Got there at 4:30 and by 6:30 I was at Red Lobster celebrating with my brother the new car. Got to use my 3,000 points from the top off offer, which expired 2/28/13. So now I am the owner of a 2013 Sonic, which quickly has become my daily driver. oh... Had not owned a Stick Shift car since my 2007 Chevy HHR (the one I traded for the 2008 Impala). So here I am, to learn about the car and to impart knowledge to others from my experience with this fun driving vehicle. (for a Ford Man, you might say, "but all you own are GM's and Chryslers!" LOL, hey my brother drives a 2009 Ford Fusion which I do all the maintenance on... )
