Just wanted to give a shout out to DDM Works Tech Support helping me figure out why I was getting a vibration when I made left turns after the Intake Install... Go figure I didn't install the bracket properly. They caught it from a set of pics I sent them. 2 twists of the wrench problem solved! Thanks DDM!!

Gonna make my own. I have a few old aluminum computer cases in the garage the side plates are a perfect solution. Free too

If there is a bump in power I didn't notice it, just louder. Then again I hadn't gotten the heat shield yet, but my bet is I still won't feel it increase with just the intake and heat shield installed.

I'd say the heatshield is an absolute must, and if making your own I'd say to make sure you have your dimensions spot on. The nice thing about the DDMWorks shield is that its dimensions allow for your hood insulation to be the top of the "box" the shield creates. I've always been very impressed that my intake temp always stays within ten degrees of ambient temperature when at speed.

I'd also suggest to all a Forge bypass (or blowoff, depending on tuned or not) valve.
Makes a wicked hiss as "uneeded" air is allowed to escape...

sure... the cylinder in the upper portion of pic #2 (with the hose & clamp with the white paint on the clamp itself)... is shown in this larger pic, just to the right of where the DDM intake goes into the engine. The bypass valve is right below that.

DDMW CAI Installed

I just installed the CAI and heat shield. This was a surprisingly easy install. I wish I had not waited as long as I did to install this on my 2012. You hear the turbo now, and it really lets it BREATHE. It seems to just have a little more there when you get into it, and that's with no tune, yet.
