Person asking about 1.8- It does the same thing on the 1.8; goes right over the engine. Unfortunately, it's currently the only intake available. DDM is developing a production model.

I would wait for the DDM for to release their 1.8 intake, it will save you cash and the disappointment of buying the Injen in the first place.

Isn't K&N making one, I'm sure there's a thread about it somewhere for the 1.4 but I believe they were doin a 1.8 as well and it was getting close to production.

K&N is as well, I do not think that it will be out soon though. I know they are working on the 1.4 which should be out in the near future (<=speculation) and not sure if they have started on the 1.8, maybe the member that's fitting for it can fill us in on that.

For the 1.8 yea but there is still a great improvement without the tune. im not goin to get the tune until i get the final production intake on

I'm still goin to wait. When i go back to DDM for the final production, Dave said he will tune my car just for the price of the tune .
